The role of the governing body is to assist the Head Teacher with the strategic leadership of the school. The governing body establish the strategic framework in conjunction with the Head by:
- Setting aims and objectives for the school
- Adopting policies and setting targets for achieving those aims and objectives
- Ensuring accountability
- Monitoring and evaluating school performance.

If your child was born between September 2007 and August 2008 you need to apply this term for a reception place next year.
To help you through the process, we held an information meeting at Christ Church school on Thursday 20th October. Liz Ferrie, from Barnet Schools Admissions team, explained the choices you have and the central form that needs to be filled in. See the Barnet 2012 presentation here.
